DVDx Platinum's TDF technology is simply the best for
controlling what parts of the DVD you want to backup.
It really gives you complete control over the backup.
Easy of Use:
DVD X Platinum is really an easy to use software.
Basically you just start it up and then it will
auto detect if any DVD movies are currently in
readable drives and if not it will prompt you for
a movie. Then you choose the compression %, next
the settings (temp on hard drive, dvd burner to
use, etc..), and finally you select which chapters
you want on the final copy ( this is where you
can deselect the extras, bonus features, movie
trailers, etc..).
Backup Quality:
We found to quality to be near perfect. On DVD-9 to
DVD-5 conversions, (a personal dual layer home film)
the compression quality was hardly noticeable on
our TV sets. Basically the original and the compression
backup looked the same.
